We are a small team of curling coaches, competitive skips, and software builders who got tired of chalk diagrams and guesswork between ends. Curling Sweepity started as a whiteboard app for our own club and grew into a full digital tactics board, built by people who actually throw rocks for a living.
Our mission is simple: give every coach and skip the tools to read the ice like a veteran, without needing a rink full of cameras or sensors bolted to the boards. We believe good tactics should come from understanding the sheet, not from expensive hardware.

Your tactics stay yours
Curling Sweepity was built on one simple rule: your tactics are yours alone. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens — and, more importantly, what doesn't happen — with your information when you use the app.
Information We Collect
We collect nothing. Curling Sweepity does not ask for your name, email, location, or any other personal identifier at any point during setup or use. There is no registration screen, no sign-in wall, and no hidden form waiting to harvest your details. Every ice diagram, trajectory calculation, and tactics board you build stays a private matter between you and your device.
How We Use Information
Because no personal or gameplay data is ever transmitted to us, there is nothing for us to use, profile, analyze, or monetize. We do not build usage statistics, we do not study how you sweep or call shots, and we never combine your activity with anyone else's. There is simply no pipeline for that kind of information to travel through.
Data Storage
Everything you create — ice-condition models, saved trajectories, tactics boards, and match notes — is stored exclusively in local storage on the device you're using. Nothing is copied to a server, mirrored to a cloud account, or backed up on our end, because we don't operate a cloud service for this app. If you don't back up your own device, that data lives nowhere else.
Third-Party Services
Curling Sweepity does not embed advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting trackers, or any other third-party service that would collect data on our behalf. The app was deliberately built without an internet dependency for its core features, so there is no third party in the loop at all.
Data Security
Because your diagrams and tactics never leave your device, the biggest security question is one you already control: your device's own lock screen and operating system protections. We design the app to run entirely offline for its core functionality, which removes network interception and remote server breaches from the risk picture entirely.
Children's Privacy
Curling Sweepity is suitable for coaches and athletes of any age precisely because it collects no personal data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly, or unknowingly, gather identifying information from young athletes, and since there are no accounts or forms anywhere in the app, there is nothing to collect in the first place.
Your Control
You are always in complete control of your own information. Because everything is stored locally, deleting the app from your device permanently removes every ice model, trajectory, and tactics board you created — there are no remote copies to request, no accounts to close, and no support ticket needed to "opt out."
Changes to This Policy
If our approach to privacy ever changes — for example, if a future optional feature were to introduce network connectivity — we will update this page and revise the Effective Date above so you can always see when the policy was last touched. We will never quietly walk back the local-only design without telling you first.
